Why EmThera exists.
Periods are often met with fear: fear of pain, fear of leaking, fear of discomfort, even fear of what's inside a tampon, such as PFAS (“forever chemicals”) and heavy metals.
Our mission: alleviate pain and mitigate fear.
Menstruation, along with many gynecological procedures, can be painful, lowering quality of life for millions of women. We're addressing the unspoken need for something better than reaching for ibuprofen.
It stopped being a class project.
“In 2024, I started interviewing women for a school project on menstrual health. I wasn't prepared for what I heard.
One friend fainted from period pain. A classmate was rushed to the ER and given IV medication just to stop her from screaming. These weren't edge cases. They were realities many women had quietly accepted as normal.
That's when this stopped being a class project.
I'm building EmThera to give women a real answer: Comfii and Medii, two hydrogel tampons designed for comfort and relief. Both are still in development.
I'm actively looking to connect with gynecologists, clinicians, medtech investors, and industry advisors as I move toward pre-seed fundraising.”
